I don't know what I expected, but not such great voices! Wow! Very charming.

"before the internet friendship was so hard/you had to be in people's presence and stuff" --ha!

Yeah--aside from the humor, it's kind of a pretty song.

Cat, you really should. I've gotten in touch with all kind of greenerfolk through facebook: most of the KAOS guys, for example. And a couple of people I worked with in housing and conference services.

I just added you. Stumbled on your journal, via [info]some_other_word. I will be living with [info]roostur and Jen come October 15th or so. Liked the facebook song, and per your previous, transcendentalist post, what's the definition of transcendentalism? Are you UU? I am familiar with a few contemporary poets... Though I think it's difficult to claim any poetical movements past the eighties, as other than slam there is no core of poetry right now. Everything's fractured.

Hi --

Welcome to the nieghborhood!

I friended you as well. I currently identify as Pagan rather than UU, but was a member of the West Seattle UU Fellowship for a year or so. It's a rainy Sunday morning in Vancouver right now & I'm so not in a space to deconstruct transcendentalism or poetry right now. There's a nice wiki on transcendentalism, though.

I just looked up where the West Seattle UU Fellowship is. That's only a three mile walk from home, so as long as I can get out the door by 9:30 on Sundays...
