1) the lady with the baby probably thought less about your offer than you did. It might have had less to do with trust and more to do with "I wanna hold my baby."

2) Eric might have had any number of reasons for leaving the party a little early, including wanting to catch something on TV and just being a little tired. Chances are that it had little or nothing to do with you.

People will be comfortable around you, sweets, when you are comfortable around you -- and them. You are so hard on yourself, so demanding, asking of yourself things you never ask of others. I swear, sometimes you seem angry that your mutant psychic powers haven't developed yet!

And I LOVE Vicodin. Life is so much nicer in Vicodin land...
